The First Week!

Well it's hard to believe one week has already passed. As great as the city seems to be, it's really hard to get over not having our own stuff. And as nice as this apartment is, same thing, it sucks without our stuff. Besides the fact, I'm going absolutely stir crazy sitting in this place all day long. Between the neighbors who have just enough bass on their stereo system to annoy the living crap out of you and the horrid wind tunnel that exists outside our door, I'm ready to have our own place.

On that front, we hope we've found our new home, but as to not jinx it, no more will be mentioned about that until we know for sure, so hopefully we'll post something else in a day or so on that front!

Otherwise, because we've had to dedicate so much time to finding a place to live, I hate to say it was a very uneventful first weekend in DC. However, I did make it to Arlington Cemetery, althought what I might say is creepy, I think it's my new favorite place. It's so absolutely peaceful and a GREAT place to think and reflect. We also went "hiking" at this great place just outside of DC called Great Falls, which is along the Potomac River, so at least we got some fresh air. And all I have to say, is I don't want to hear anyone complain about the TEXAS heat, this place has AWFUL humidity and it's WAY WORSE THAN HOME!!!

Miss you ALL!!
